2016 National YoungArts Award recipients and the youngest 2-time recipients of the Minnesota Sage Cowles Award for dance, Al Taw’am (Arabic for The Twins), From Minneapolis, MN are nineteen-year-old Muslim identical twin sisters, Iman and Khadijah Siferllah-Griffin. As recent dancers and choreographers for Brother Ali’s video Never Learn and Mona Haydar’s Wrap My Hijab, Iman and Khadijah have performed with world renowned artist Black Violin and at a range of events such as The Nobel Peace Prize Forum, Facing Race 2012 and 2016, WE Day Minnesota, Sound Set, and The Minnesota Secretary of State’s 50th Voter’s Rights Act Anniversary Celebration. In 2016, the pair performed and provided a talkback at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, MN and in 2017 were contestants on season one of World of Dance NBC. Currently freshmen in college, Iman and Khadijah believe that their God-given ability to dance is their superpower, and they want to use that superpower to inspire others.

KHADIJAH:  Khadijah Siferllah-Griffin has performed Hip Hop and Urban Styles since the age of 8. Khadijah is best know for her larger-than-life dance expression which models her vibrant personality.

IMAN:  Iman Siferllah-Griffin is best know for her clean-cut technical dance ability. Iman is a fun-loving, introverted critical thinker.
